Hand it in in magister opdrachten under ‘pupil journey’.
Example:
Meet Maria, a new pupil at a Dutch secondary school who wants to improve her English skills. Her teacher has told her about the LG method, and she is eager to try it. Here’s how her experience with LG goes:
In the explore phase, Maria begins by reading and listening to examples of various types of writing and speaking. She notices that she is having difficulty understanding some of the more complex vocabulary and grammar structures, so she makes a mental note to seek assistance from her teacher during the feedback phase.
Maria uses what she learned in the explore phase to create her own writing and speaking pieces in the Produce Phase I. She is confident in her ability to write a formal letter, but she is having difficulty creating a modernized myth that meets the rubric requirements. She chooses to use the feedback phase to ask assistance from her teacher and classmates.
Maria presents her work to her teacher and receives formative feedback. She recognizes that she needs to improve her use of figurative language in the modernised myth and sets a goal to do so during the grow phase.
Maria practices using figurative language in her writing during the grow phase.
Produce Phase II: Maria uses what she learned during the feedback and grow phases to create a revised version of her modernized myth. She is proud of her work and is looking forward to presenting it during the show phase.
In the reflect phase, Maria reflects on her LG learning journey and realizes she has improved her abilities and gains confidence in her ability to write creatively. She also realizes that she has developed new self-regulated learning strategies that have assisted her in becoming a more effective learner.
She has learned to ask for assistance when she requires it, to set goals for herself, and to evaluate her progress over time. She is more confident in her ability to learn and grow as a result of the LG method, and she is eager to continue using it to improve her English skills.
Maria’s experience with LG has helped her develop critical metacognitive and self-regulated learning skills that will help her in all aspects of her academic and professional life. She has learned to take charge of her own education, to set goals for herself, and to evaluate her progress over time. As a result, she is more confident and capable as a learner, and she is eager to continue using the LG method to achieve her goals.
