Option A: Gender Swap A Myth (writing) 👤

Choose your own Norse, Greek/Roman, Egyptian, or other pantheon myth and gender-swap it like the gender-swapped myth of Icarus and Daedalus that you will read about in the explore phase of this task (The fall of Icara).
Option B: Record your own play (speaking) 👥 or 👤

Use The Fall of Icara (explore phase) or any other myth to create your own play. Film it and hand it in. You can work alone (playing different roles) or together for this assignment.
Option C: Compare and Contrast Analysis (writing/speaking) 👤

Write or record a compare and contrast piece about the differences and similarities between The Fall of Icara (explore phase) and the original myth.
Option D: Argumentative essay (writing) 👤

Write an essay in which you criticise, applaud, or discuss gender-swapping in a balanced way, using the story of The Fall of Icara as an example throughout your essay.
Option E: Comic Book (drawing/writing) 👥 or 👤

Create an illustration with text balloons (dialogues) for several scenes moments in the myth of The Fall of Icara. You may work together with up to three people to create your own comic.

Record a debate between you and at least two other classmates (preferably teams of 2) in which you discuss this question: Was Daedala was justified in pushing Perdica off the scaffold. You should research and prepare arguments to support their position and engage in a structured debate.
Option G: Poetry👥 (writing)

Write a short story or a collection of poems based on The Fall of Icara (explore phase) myth, either retelling the original story or creating a new one with a different twist.
Duration
You get three weeks for this task. That means you get 2 domain lessons per week of 45 minutes (4,5hrs).
- Try to finish your explore phase and produce phase I in week 1.
- Try to finish your feedback and grow phase at the start of week 2.
- Try to finish your produce phase II in the third week. Do the reflect phase while you wait for a show moment in the third week. Do your show moment in the third week.
Reward
600🔸 if you finish all vocab and grammar checks with 80% correct. However, based on how well you do in the checks, how neatly you work in your notebook/in your documents (💎) and how well you do in your assignment (💎), the reward can get significantly higher (up to 900🔸).
Vocabulary
The vocabulary is related to text in the myth. The myth is about jeaousy, punishment, being very good at things and creating things. Therefore, vocabulary related to these topics is very present in the vocab checks.
Grammar
This myth allows you to practice with the irregular verb forms (saw, seen, went, gone), that you need to write and speak in the past simple and present perfect tense.
