Log (bijhouden) all of the options below in your notebook. Use clear headings and colours for each of the options. You can only earn the đ points if you log your work in a structured manner.
Option 0: Place XP in the vault
Go here: https://www.lets-grow.today/home/exchange/ and place all your XP in the Vault.
Option 1: LG Settings
Log in with your username (your student number) and this password: Gsgleovroman!#
The # is a random number you can find in your school email.
So, the password ‘Gsgleovroman!#‘ will not work if you do not change the # into your personal number.
When you are done:
Scroll down and click
Enter a new password. Itâs best to change it to your magister password.
Click
at the bottom of the page after youâve entered a new password.
Some of you will also have to click: âconfirm use of weak passwordâ before you scroll down.
Option 2: LG Profile Picture
đ5 if you have also done option 3,4,5 and 6.
Set a Letâs Grow! profile picture*. Do this by creating an account at https://en.gravatar.com/ You have to create your account with your school mail. If you already have a gravatar account you can add your school mail to your existing account.
*Make sure your gravatar image complies with the g-rating. See the ratings below. Your profile picture could be a picture of you, but it does not have to be a picture of you. However, you are not allowed to have profile pictures of other pupils or things that are not suitable at school.
Ratings
- g: suitable for display on all websites with any audience type.
- pg: may contain rude gestures, provocatively dressed individuals, the lesser swear words, or mild violence.
- r: may contain such things as harsh profanity, intense violence, nudity, or hard drug use.
- x: may contain hardcore sexual imagery or extremely disturbing violence.
Option 3: Writing Prompt
đ10 if you have also done option 2,4,5 and 6.
You will need your notebook for this assignment.
- Write the name of this option in your notebook.
- Choose 1-3 Writing Prompts and write anywhere between 300-1000 words, total*.
Each writing prompt needs to be answered in at least 100 words. - Write down the prompt as a heading above each of your prompts.
*for example: 1 prompt of 100 words, 1 prompt of 600 words and 1 prompt of a 100 words (800 words total = within the 300-1000 words limit)

Option 4: Your English Level
đ10 if you have also done option 2,3,5 and 6.
- Write the name of this option in your notebook.
- Answer at least five of these questions.
- Write down the question before you write the answer.
- Explain how your English classes went last year.
- Explain what you liked.
- Explain what you disliked.
- Explain the things you are good at.
- Explain the things you would like to learn.
- Explain what you would like to be helped with.
- Explain how you would like to be challenged.
- Explain what you expect from your English classes this year.
- Explain what you expect from a good English teacher.
- Explain what good pupil-behaviour for learning English is.
Option 5: start reading your first blackbird / other book.
đ10 if you have also done option 2,3,4 and 6.
Each year you have to read several books for English. Always bring your book to choose in case the internet does not work. You can also read your book after you finish early on a test or if you are done with exercises/don’t feel like actively answering questions.
- Write the name of this option in your notebook.
- Write down the name of your book (this yearâs blackbirds/book from the list at letsgrow.today/books)
- Describe the cover and explain what youâve learned about the book from the text on the back cover of the book.
- Read the first five (or more) pages.
Option 6: Do a Role Play
đ15 if you have also done option 2,3,4 and 5.
- Write the name of this option in your notebook.
- Write down which role plays youâve done, with whom and how it went.
A: You and a family member are walking your dog. Youâve forgotten poo bags and your dog pooped on the pavement. A police officer sees you and tells you to clean it up. Talk about how and whoâs going to clean it up. If you are a group of three, one of you can play the police officer.
B: Convince your classmate, who plays someone who is afraid of heights, to jump from the 3rd story of a building thatâs about to collapse. If you are a group of three, one of you can play a rescue worker.
Option 7: Do the LG tutorial
You can earn đ¶ for doing the LG tutorial. How many depends on how well you do. The tutorial is not available yet.
