- Easy (A2), medium (B1), or hard (B2/C1)? You decide!
Step 3: Find an Article π
- Go to the website we have selected, pick an article that fits your task.

Media File Task Specials
There are also Media File Task Specials. You get rewards for these like you do for the Media File Tasks. They are more creative, game-like and science-based acitvities that help you get better at reading articles and stories. They are linked to the normal Media File Tasks and can be done to replace a maximum of 3 normal Media File Tasks in Period 1. You can do as many Specials as you want.
How many Media File Tasks do I have to do?
You must choose exactly one assignment from the one – four options. You will get Media File Points (MFP) for finishing these Media File Tasks. The goal for this school year is to earn at least 1200 MFP to meet the Handelingsdeel requirement. At least 400 of those MFP must be gathered in P1, at least 400 in P2 and at least 400 MFP in P3. If you do not have enough MFPs after doing the Media File Tasks, you can do the Media File Task Specials.
In period 1, you can decide to replace 3 Media File Tasks with Media File Task Specials. So you have to do at least 5 normal ones.
What do do in the other 3 lessons?
In the other three lessons of the week you will get instructions, other exercises, read your book or do an other activity.
Get Media File Points (MFP)

In order to meet the Handelingsdeel requirement, you must earn at least 1200MFP (P1 400, P2 400, P3 400). When you have 1200, you will have a V for your handelingsdeel. More than 1200 is a G.
These points are very important for your general progress and becoming ready for the School Exams (SEs). Making sure you’ve finished enough Media File Tasks is important before you the SE takes place.
Goals for the assignment and getting ready for SEs
- Period 1 Assignments: Work on getting ready for the application letter (Writing SE, SE 1).
- Tasks for Period 2: These are meant to prepare you for the Watching and Listening Test (SE 2).
- Assignments for Period 3: These will help you get ready for the Speaking SE (SE 3).
- All of the Media File Tasks are meant to help you prepare for the Central School Exam (CSE), as well as the SEs.
- There are vocabulary quizzes, readings, and other things in these tasks that will help you improve skills that are important for your final exam.
Timetable and Finishing

You will get time to work on The Media File Tasks in one of your four lessons each week. In one of the other two lessons you will read your book. In the last two lesson you will get instructions or do other assignments. When you finish a Media File Task and get your teacher to sign off on it, you’ll get the MFP from your teacher.
In addition, the experience points (XP) you get from quizzes help you reach the 4 mavo ranks, which makes learning and progress even better.
The programme makes sure you are fully prepared for all parts of your upcoming exams (both SE and CSE) by splitting up the work and focusing on different skills each period. It also keeps track of your progress through Media File Points and experience points.
